Swift Solar acquires technology and facilities from Meyer Burger

US company Swift Solar has purchased production equipment and intellectual property from Meyer Burger to combine research from the US with European manufacturing expertise for high-efficiency silicon solar cells. Swift Solar aims to build a western production base for the new solar technology and thereby reduce dependence on Asian cell manufacturing.
