Myriad Genetics launches commercial FirstGene multiple prenatal test

Myriad Genetics has introduced the FirstGene Multiple Prenatal Screen, a laboratory test that combines four prenatal genetic screenings from a single blood sample as early as the eighth week of pregnancy. The test includes fetal chromosomal screening, fetal single‑gene screening, maternal carrier screening and fetal RhD screening, and returns results in about ten days. According to the company, analytical sensitivity is over 98% and specificity over 99%; validation results were published in June 2026 in Clinical Chemistry. Myriad Genetics launches AI‑powered prostate cancer test Prolaris + AI

Myriad Genetics announced it will introduce the Prolaris + AI test at the end of the month. The test combines the molecular Prolaris cell‑cycle risk score with PATHOMIQ AI‑supported digital pathology to predict the risk of a Gleason upgrade and to individualize suitability and intensity of active surveillance. A validation study (training set 998, validation 296 patients) showed the AI metric is an independent predictor of upgrading at the first surveillance biopsy.
