Nestlé reacts to GLP-1 trend and develops new products for weight‑loss drug users
Nestlé plans to develop tailored products for customers taking GLP‑1 medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro, because this group buys fewer packaged foods and snacks. Group technology chief Stefan Palzer sees a “huge opportunity” as patients change their food consumption and spending on calorie‑dense products falls sharply. Studies also show effects on sick days, labor market prospects and partner choice, while the question of whether the drugs will relieve health systems and cover costs in the long term remains open. » More on faz.net
Nestlé could lose Russia business through forced administration
Russian company KS Logistika is asking President Putin for temporary state administration of five Nestlé entities, a step that could lead to a change of ownership. Nestlé says factories and offices continue to operate and withdrawal is not currently being considered; Russia accounts for around 2 percent of group sales. Analysts at JPMorgan say losing the Russia business is possible and estimate a potential decline in earnings per share of about 3–4 percent in the event of a forced sale. » More on manager-magazin.de
Nestle falls sharply after results – margin outlook and pension effect weigh

The outlook signals a more cautious margin development, with the margin expected to remain at first‑half levels in the second half. The partial sale of the water business (around CHF 2.8 billion in proceeds) and announced write‑downs of CHF 1.3 billion are in line with expectations. » More on finanzen.net
