  • Nestle surprises in third quarter and supports Swiss market

The SMI closed unchanged at 14,548 points, outperforming the rest of the European market. Nestle delivered surprisingly strong Q3 numbers with higher real internal growth than expected and gained credibility, pushing the stock higher. Roche disappointed with weaker adjusted sales trends and stagnated, while Novartis, Galderma and Schindler were among the stronger names and ABB and Richemont suffered under the weaker sentiment. The Swiss franc also strengthened against the euro after turmoil in the French bond market. » More on finanzen.net

  • Nestlé accelerates organic growth in third quarter thanks to strong volume growth

Nestlé reported organic growth of 4.0% in the third quarter 2026 (previous quarter: 3.7%) and internal real growth (RIG) of 2.8%, driven mainly by significantly higher sales volumes. Group sales for the first nine months were CHF 65.87 billion, almost unchanged from the previous year; organic growth for that period was 3.7%. Management maintained the full-year guidance of 3–4% organic growth but was cautious about raising the target range. Positive factors included a recovery in the pet food business, stronger demand for foods and snacks, and the water segment; the stock rose by around 1.5%. In addition, the Russian business will be excluded from the group accounts as of the end of September 2026. » More on finanzen.net
