Netlist files complaint at ITC against Micron and others – stock jumps

Netlist’s shares rose about 14.5% after the company filed a complaint with the US International Trade Commission against Micron, Supermicro, HPE and Lenovo alleging infringement of four patents. Netlist is seeking a cease-and-desist and exclusion order to block imports of the allegedly infringing memory products and has also filed a lawsuit against Micron in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California over two patents. Netlist obtains ITC investigation against Samsung, Nvidia and Google over patent infringement

The US International Trade Commission has opened an investigation following a complaint by Netlist into whether Samsung memory products infringe two Netlist patents covering High-Bandwidth Memory and DDR5 RDIMMs/MRDIMMs. The probe concerns imports into the US; Netlist is seeking import bans and cease-and-desist orders against Samsung and its customers Google, Supermicro, Nvidia and Broadcom. US Department of Justice and USPTO back Netlist complaint at ITC

The US Patent and Trademark Office and the US Department of Justice filed a joint brief supporting Netlist’s complaint at the International Trade Commission against Samsung, Google and Super Micro. Netlist accuses the defendants of infringing six patents with DDR5 and HBM memory modules and seeks an exclusion and cease-and-desist order to block imports into the US. The ITC is expected to decide by year-end whether to institute proceedings.
