The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max features a 9,210mAh dual‑cell silicon‑carbon battery (10,000mAh in some markets) delivering up to three days of use or 37 hours of continuous video, and retains 80% capacity after about 1,600 cycles. The phone is slightly thinner and 8g lighter than an iPhone 17 Pro Max, offers 100W wired charging, a 6.83‑inch OLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and ships with Android 16. Xiaomi unveils three new XRING chips - focus on edge AI and ADAS

Xiaomi introduced the XRING O3, O100 and D100. The O3 is the flagship SoC with higher energy efficiency and an integrated MiMo LLM for improved edge-AI inference; the O100 targets bandwidth-intensive edge LLMs; and the D100 is positioned as China’s first 3-nm ADAS chip with high compute power for local inference of large language models. Xiaomi stock falls after EV recall over door-handle issues

Xiaomi shares dropped 4.1% on Monday to HK$27.84 after a widespread recall was announced in China that also affects Xiaomi electric vehicles. The cause are safety concerns with retractable door handles that could be harder to open in emergency situations. In addition to Xiaomi, manufacturers such as Tesla, Leapmotor, Xpeng and Geely are affected by similar recalls.
