Oberbank raises half-year net profit to €199 million and focuses on Hungary and Germany
Oberbank increased its first-half net profit from €179.2 million to €199 million, driven by an "extremely strong" operating performance, higher deposits and loans, and a markedly improved investment result. Martin Seiter, the designated successor to the CEO, emphasizes organic growth and identifies Hungary and Germany as the main growth regions; in Germany, 45 branches across ten federal states are planned so far, with up to six more intended in North Rhine-Westphalia. Total assets are approaching €30 billion, which will trigger direct ECB supervision; the NPL ratio remained low at 2.94 percent and risk provisions were increased. » More on kurier.at
