Oxford Instruments: share falls after mixed FY-2026 results despite recovery in second half
Oxford Instruments reported a strong recovery in H2 2026 with order intake growth of 8% (H2 +14%) and a particularly strong increase in Advanced Technologies (+28%). For the full year, however, constant-currency revenue declined by 3%, after which the share fell by about 6.9%. Strategic measures such as the sale of the NanoScience business and restructurings improved gross and adjusted operating margins by roughly 30 basis points each. For 2027 the company expects low-single-digit revenue growth in Imaging & Analysis and high double-digit growth in Advanced Technologies, as well as a mid-term target margin of 20%, but sees risks from currency effects and geopolitical uncertainties. » More on de.investing.com
Covalent expands wafer-level semiconductor analysis through partnership with Oxford Instruments
Covalent is partnering with Oxford Instruments to integrate WITec360 Raman technology into its application environment and to provide Raman and photoluminescence workflows for wafers up to 300 mm in diameter. The solution uses dual laser excitation (355 nm and 532 nm) and enables non-destructive, high-resolution mapping of crystallinity, doping, strain and defects. Target markets are production-ready materials such as silicon carbide and gallium nitride to improve yield, process control and failure analysis. » More on de.investing.com
Oxford Instruments confirms full-year outlook after strong order intake and sale of NanoScience
Oxford Instruments maintains its forecast for fiscal 2026 and expects an EBITA of £70.2–73.0m, despite an anticipated negative currency impact of around £5.5m. Since the start of the year the group book-to-bill is 1.2, driven by a currency-adjusted order intake increase of 44.5% in the Advanced Technologies division; the Imaging and Analysis division recovered in Q3 with orders up 2.4% and a book-to-bill of 1.1. The company also completed the sale of its NanoScience business for net £48.5m and in December completed a buy-in for the defined-benefit pension scheme, removing pension contributions from 2027. » More on de.investing.com
