QuidelOrtho beats Q2 expectations but cuts full-year guidance
QuidelOrtho reported adjusted EPS of $0.13 and revenue of $630.9 million for Q2, beating estimates. Business outside China grew 6%, while China saw a 23% revenue decline that weighed on results. The company lowered its revenue forecast for 2026, withdrew its FCF forecast, and expects adjusted EBITDA of $540–560 million; at the same time the balance sheet remains under pressure from high leverage and negative cash flow. The stock initially reacted positively but fell sharply in after-hours trading. » More on de.investing.com
QuidelOrtho considers sale of point-of-care unit — stock jumps sharply
QuidelOrtho is considering selling its point-of-care test unit for about $1.5 billion to private-equity bidders; reports triggered a share price rise of more than 32% on June 29. With the expected proceeds, the company aims to reduce a large portion of the $3.8 billion debt from the 2022 Ortho merger. The move is seen as a strategic realignment that could strengthen the balance sheet and change QuidelOrtho’s operating profile. » More on finanzen.net

The lab segment saw revenue declines following the termination of a partner agreement and geopolitical headwinds in China, while immunohematology grew 3%.
