Rambus faces margin squeeze despite record Q2 revenue
Rambus reported a record Q2 with revenue of $207.4 million, up 20% year‑over‑year, and provided Q3 guidance of $210–216 million and GAAP diluted EPS of $0.59–0.67. Product revenue grew on DDR5 9600 rollouts and an HBM IP win, but product gross margin drifted to the low‑60% area and trailing‑twelve‑month net margin fell to 31.7%. Shares dropped about 20% after the report as investors reacted to margin compression and a high forward P/E of 24.27x, leaving limited tolerance for further execution or margin setbacks. » More on finance.yahoo.com
