Rocket Companies posts strongest quarter in four years and expands purchase and refinance share
Rocket Companies reported Q2 adjusted revenue of $2.8 billion, adjusted EBITDA of $766 million (28% margin) and adjusted diluted EPS of $0.16, its most profitable quarter in four years. Purchase market share rose to 6.2% and refinance share to 14.3%, driven by Redfin lead growth, servicing recapture and integration synergies from Mr. Cooper. The company generated $49 billion in closed loan volume, ended the quarter with $11.2 billion of liquidity and raised its expected annualized expense synergies. For Q3 Rocket expects adjusted revenue of $2.5–$2.7 billion while continuing to expand market share and reduce expenses sequentially. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Rocket Companies recovers slightly after stock plunge, weak outlook weighs
Rocket Companies’ stock climbed slightly intraday after the company reported Q2 adjusted EPS of $0.16 (consensus $0.17) and adjusted revenue of $2.76 billion (consensus $2.82 billion; +93% YoY). For Q3 management forecasts adjusted revenue of $2.50–2.70 billion, with the midpoint well below the analyst consensus of $2.91 billion. Several banks subsequently cut their price targets, increasing selling pressure, while CEO Varun Krishna pointed to record market share and the most profitable quarter in four years. The stock remains near its 52-week low and shows limited near-term upside due to the weak outlook and heightened analyst caution. » More on de.investing.com
Rocket Companies emerges as top strategic buyer candidate for Opendoor
Opendoor, trading near $3.6 billion market cap with $999 million cash and sharply reduced aged inventory, is positioned as a likely take-private target. Analysts identify five potential acquirers, ranking Rocket Companies as the best strategic fit given its Redfin and Mr. Cooper assets and mortgage servicing scale, followed by Zillow, CoStar, Compass, and Amazon as longer shots. A private-equity or strategic investor deal is plausible as Opendoor pursues adjusted net income profitability by end of 2026; key catalysts include execution on Q2 guidance, shifts in the 10-year yield, and any 13D or options activity. » More on finance.yahoo.com
