SCYNEXIS acquires drug candidate SCY-770 for treatment of ADPKD
SCYNEXIS has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PXL-770 (now SCY-770) for the treatment of autosomal-dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). The oral AMPK activator has orphan drug designation and has already been studied in eight clinical trials. SCYNEXIS will pay an $8 million upfront payment plus up to $8 million in development milestones and up to $180 million in commercial milestones (including $125 million at annual net sales ≥ $1 billion). A phase‑2 proof-of-concept study is planned to start in Q4 2026, with first efficacy data expected in H2 2027. » More on de.investing.com
