SeaWorld faces DOJ probe over ban on rollator walkers
The Department of Justice is investigating SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Aquatica Orlando after complaints that the parks banned rollator walkers with seats, potentially discriminating against people with disabilities. Parks say the rule was imposed for guest and employee safety and cite terrain and pathway configurations, while plaintiffs and disability advocates say the ban may violate the ADA if no safety justification exists. SeaWorld explores indoor park expansion after SeaWorld Abu Dhabi success
SeaWorld, through parent United Parks & Resorts, plans to sign deals for two additional international parks by the end of 2025 and is considering more indoor parks following the commercial and design success of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi. Company executives say future deals will follow a capital-light structure similar to the Abu Dhabi partnership. » More on forbes.com
