Springfield Properties has sent a circular to shareholders requesting approval for a buyback programme of up to 11,904,240 ordinary shares. The board proposes initially purchasing up to 5,957,372 shares in the market, with flexibility to extend purchases up to the full authorised limit. A waiver of the obligation to make a takeover offer under Rule 9 has been approved by the Takeover Panel on the condition that independent shareholders agree; that vote is scheduled for 10 September 2026.
