STAAR Surgical exceeds revenue forecasts but misses EPS expectations
STAAR Surgical reported Q2 2026 revenue of $93.5 million (+111% YoY), beating analyst estimates, while adjusted EPS of $0.16 missed the consensus of $0.22. China was the main growth driver with $52.3 million; excluding China, revenue rose just 6% to $41.2 million. The company returned to profit, improved gross margin and EBITDA, and holds $181.5 million in cash with zero debt. Management expects seasonally lower China revenue in Q3, but still sees growth for 2026 and plans production relocations to Switzerland as well as easing of EVO+ supply constraints by the end of Q3. » More on de.investing.com

STAAR Surgical stock falls after revenue guidance that only meets consensus
STAAR Surgical reported preliminary net sales for Q2 2026 of over $90 million, more than double year‑on‑year but in line with the consensus estimate of about $90.2 million. The result triggered a sell‑the‑news reaction; the stock fell as much as 8.4% in premarket trading and later partially recovered. Canaccord Genuity reaffirmed its buy rating and $32 price target but said it will adjust estimates only after the full Q2 figures on August 12. Weighing on the stock were the lack of an official forecast, the interim dual leadership, a slight revenue decline in EMEA due to unrest in the Middle East, and a weak overall market environment. » More on de.investing.com
