Tamarack Valley Energy debt-free after sale of Charlie Lake and focused on Clearwater growth
Tamarack Valley Energy sold Charlie Lake assets for CAD 804m, eliminating its debt and holding CAD 133m in cash. The company is now focused on the Clearwater project, producing about 55,000 barrels/day and targeting 70,000 barrels/day by year-end through water injection. Management cites an unhedged break-even of CAD 38/barrel, field costs of roughly CAD 7/barrel, a recycle ratio of 6.6 and an enterprise value of CAD 6.4bn. Tamarack Valley Energy reports strong cash flow in 2025 – shares slightly down
Tamarack Valley Energy generated free cash flow of CAD 390 million in 2025, representing a 10% increase in free cash flow per share versus the prior year. In Q4 2025 revenues were CAD 365.03 million; capital expenditures fell to CAD 400 million and net operating costs declined 17% to CAD 7.43 per BOE.
