Teck Resources: Q1 result well above expectations thanks to high copper prices
Teck Resources reported Q1 2026 EPS of $1.75 (expectation $1.17) and revenue of $3.94bn (expectation $3.15bn), driven by record prices and volumes in copper. Teck doubles EBITDA in Q1 2026 thanks to record copper prices
Teck reports adjusted EBITDA of $2.1bn (+125%) and pre-tax earnings of $1.3bn for Q1 2026, supported by an average copper price of $5.83/lb and higher sales volumes. Scotiabank raises Teck Resources price target to C$80 after strong Q1
Scotiabank raised its price target on Teck Resources to C$80 from C$75 while keeping a Sector Perform rating, following strong first-quarter results. TD Securities and Canaccord also lifted targets (to C$82 and C$85.50 respectively) and maintained Hold ratings.
