Management emphasized high customer retention (>80%), a rising share of premium oils (around 80%) and operational efficiency through standardized processes and training. In view of geopolitically driven raw material shortages, Valvoline expects lubricant costs to rise by up to 60% above pre‑crisis levels by Q4 and has raised company prices by $5–7 per oil change; pass‑through to franchisees is to become more transparent and quicker. Valvoline has issued $600 million of senior notes due 2034 with a 6.125% coupon; the deal size was increased from the originally planned $500 million. The unsecured bonds are guaranteed by subsidiaries and are intended to fully repay the first‑lien secured term‑loan A facility and to partially repay the term‑loan B facility.
