Venture Global has signed a new 20-year supply contract with China Gas for 0.5 million tonnes of U.S. LNG per year, scheduled to begin in 2030. The gas will be delivered from Venture Global’s facilities in Louisiana. With the contract, the total long-term offtake volume between the partners rises to 2.5 million tonnes per year under 20-year contracts from Venture Global’s portfolio. Venture Global has completed a $3 billion revolving credit facility with a 364‑day term. The funds are intended for general corporate purposes, including financing project costs for the CP2 and Plaquemines expansions ahead of final investment decisions. Bank of America serves as coordinating lead arranger and administrative agent; numerous international banks are involved as arrangers. Venture Global shares fell about 5.3% in premarket trading to $13.50 after Q2 2026 results missed expectations. Analysts had expected $0.29 earnings per share; the company failed to meet those forecasts after already trailing consensus significantly in Q1. Weighing on the stock were insider selling intentions of more than one million shares, increased debt concerns and a cautious analyst tone, even though operating metrics (127 cargo shipments, implied liquefaction fee $6.45/MMBtu) were robust.
