Watkin Jones cuts profit forecast as property transactions delayed
British build-to-rent developer Watkin Jones has downgraded its profit forecast for the financial year because completions of property transactions are expected to be delayed. The cause is higher interest rates and increased geopolitical uncertainty, which are prompting institutional investors to be cautious about deals. It is unlikely that all transactions will complete by September 30, so adjusted operating annual profit is expected to remain at the level of the first half. Watkin Jones stresses a robust balance sheet and expects to benefit from long-term demand once market conditions improve. » More on de.investing.com
