XORTX Therapeutics buys anti‑fibrotic kidney therapy program from Vectus and stock jumps 40%

XORTX Therapeutics has signed a binding term sheet to acquire the VB4‑P5 kidney therapy program from Vectus Biosystems. The company is buying the drug candidate including IP, regulatory filings and manufacturing data for a payment of USD 3.0 million in common shares or equivalent securities at an assumed issue price of USD 0.86 per share. The program is pre‑IND and targets both rare and common kidney diseases.
