The FTC and Zillow reached a settlement ending allegations that a 2025 partnership with Redfin suppressed competition in rental listings. Under the proposal Redfin may continue syndicating Zillow listings but must restart its own rental-listings advertising business that it had wound down. Zillow reported Q2 adjusted EPS of $0.52 and revenue of $772 million, both above estimates, yet the stock fell about 12.3% premarket. Management guided Q3 revenue to $745–760 million and 2026 revenue to $2.92–2.96 billion, both below consensus. Nearly 20,000 agents used the platform during beta; internal analyses indicate buyers working with member agents meet those agents in person 80% more often and advance their search 50% more quickly, while conversion rates for consumers connected via “My Agent” are more than four times higher. The membership also provides premium profiles, contact prioritization, and message suggestions, and is available to all agents regardless of Zillow advertising.
