Aurubis builds multimetal hub in Hamburg with automated processing plant

Aurubis has received approval to expand its Hamburg site with a new facility for the automated separation, sorting and sampling of metal-bearing intermediate products. The investment is intended to improve transparency and quality of material flows, replace physically demanding manual work and strengthen the group’s multimetal expertise. Aurubis under technical pressure despite strong results

Aurubis reports EBT of €374m after nine months (+31% year‑on‑year) and confirms guidance of €425–525m with a view toward the upper end. The supervisory board extended executive board contracts, but the share fell, breaking out of the sideways range below the support zone at around €162–185. Technical indicators (MACD, momentum, RSI) signal downward pressure; possible support lies between €142 and €150, and a death cross threatens in the short term. Aurubis loses recycling chief Inge Hofkens at end of September

Inge Hofkens, COO Multimetal Recycling at Aurubis, is unexpectedly leaving the executive board at the end of September. Verena von Weiss will take over responsibility for the recycling business and the global recycling strategy as general representative.
