Hudbay Minerals priced $52 million of 4.50% municipal bonds issued by the Arizona Industrial Development Authority to finance, reimburse and refinance expenditures for its Copper World project in Pima County, Arizona. Hudbay and certain subsidiaries will guarantee the debt, with an initial mandatory tender date of July 2, 2036, and the offering targeted to qualified institutional buyers in the US. Hudbay Minerals received TSX approval to repurchase up to 19,863,997 common shares (5% of outstanding) under a normal course issuer bid running from June 1 to May 31. Repurchases will be funded from operating cash flow, shares acquired will be cancelled, and daily purchases on the TSX are capped at 469,604 shares (excluding permitted block trades).
