International Tower Hill Mines appoints David Wiens as CEO, Shane Parrow becomes president
International Tower Hill Mines has announced a leadership change: David Wiens will become CEO and director effective August 17, and Shane Parrow will assume the roles of president, COO and director effective immediately. Wiens brings more than 20 years of mining finance experience and has committed to a private placement of USD 200,000; he will receive RSUs worth USD 1.65 million on taking office. Parrow, with nearly 30 years of operational experience, will receive 312,500 RSUs, while predecessor Karl Hanneman will remain as strategic advisor and director. International Tower Hill Mines secures $114.8 million financing for Livengood project
International Tower Hill Mines placed 33,672,000 common shares at $2.22 each in an upsized public offering and private placements, including stakes from Paulson & Co., raising $114.8 million in gross proceeds. The funds will finance drilling, metallurgical and feasibility studies, environmental testing, engineering, permitting and land payments for the Livengood gold project in Alaska. International Tower Hill Mines sets the issue price for an upsized equity offering at USD 2.22 per share for 29.28 million common shares and secures an additional USD 40 million private placement from Paulson & Co. This brings gross proceeds to about USD 105 million before fees. The funds are intended to finance exploration and development of the Livengood gold project in Alaska.
