New Pacific Metals has signed a framework agreement with the TIOC Carangas community for the Carangas silver‑gold project in Oruro. The agreement provides for annual contributions to a community development fund, a resettlement plan, respect for ancestral rights and environmental requirements, as well as local procurement and social commitments. The community will cooperate in regulatory hearings and grant access to project areas, enabling New Pacific to complete the formal consultation process and then convert the exploration licenses into mining licenses. After license issuance, the company plans a feasibility study, infill and deep drilling; the 2026 drilling campaign is expected to exceed 30,000 metres.
