Sibanye Stillwater: adjusted EBITDA for 2025 rises 189% to R37.8bn

Sibanye Stillwater reported adjusted EBITDA of R37.8bn (USD 2.1bn) for 2025, up 189% year on year, on revenue growth of 16% to R129.7bn and significantly lower operating costs. Net debt to adjusted EBITDA improved from 1.77x to 0.59x, and the balance sheet shows high liquidity with manageable maturities. Operationally, strong PGM results, a growing recycling business and the restructuring of US PGM operations drove the turnaround; the K4 and Century projects delivered production increases. Sibanye Gold reports strong profit growth in second half of 2025

Sibanye Gold recorded a marked financial upturn in H2 2025: adjusted earnings per share (HEPS) rose 281% to 2.44 ZAR and adjusted EBITDA increased 189% to just under 38 billion ZAR. Sibanye Stillwater rose 9.6% week-on-week as spot gold surged to $4,533.21, drawing investor flows into miners amid macroeconomic uncertainty and expectations of further Fed rate cuts. The rally was supported by a weaker dollar and safe-haven demand following comments on monetary policy.
