Under Armour cuts full-year revenue forecast as North America sales slump

Under Armour now expects full-year revenue to decline by a mid-single-digit percentage, down from a prior forecast of only a slight decline, after North America revenue fell 9% to $609.8 million in the quarter. Management cited a tougher consumer environment in North America and parts of Asia Pacific and said the turnaround will continue to face near-term macro pressure. The company has spent $266 million on restructuring and reduced its SKU assortment to focus on higher-priced items, but investors remain skeptical as short interest is near 24% and hedge fund ownership has fallen. Barclays downgrade weighs on Under Armour shares after quarterly results

Under Armour fell about 2.2% in premarket trading after a Barclays downgrade to “Underweight” with a $5.00 price target, citing rising competition, market share losses, cost issues and long product lead times. Fiscal Q1 2027 revenue declined to $1.10 billion and missed consensus, while adjusted EPS was slightly above estimates thanks to a one‑time tariff rebate. Other analyst reactions (Stifel, Truist, UBS) cut ratings or targets and pushed a potential revenue inflection out to at least the second half of fiscal 2028.
