Jefferies downgrade pulls Watches of Switzerland shares back
Watches of Switzerland falls about 3.3% to 706p after Jefferies cut its rating from "Buy" to "Hold". Analysts see the recent re-rating after the rally as largely exhausted, although the price target was raised from 440p to 740p. Jefferies criticises the limited upside, noting the stock trades at around 13.1 times expected 2027 earnings at the top end of the post-pandemic range. A weak domestic market (FTSE 100/250) added to the selling pressure; investors are focusing on the annual results on 14 July. » Plus sur de.investing.com
Watches of Switzerland raises currency-adjusted sales outlook to 9–11%
After a strong third quarter, Watches of Switzerland has raised its full-year sales forecast to currency-adjusted growth of 9–11%, up from 6–10% previously. Growth is being driven mainly by strong demand in the US and the UK, as well as acquisitions and new store openings. The company is increasing investments in e-commerce, showrooms and marketing to attract younger customer groups. However, an EBIT margin decline of 70–90 basis points is expected; the stock fell about 2.6%. » Plus sur de.investing.com
