Ecora Resources has agreed to sell its 2% net smelter return royalty on the Dugbe gold project in Liberia to a subsidiary of Elemental Altus Royalties Corp. for up to $20m, including a $16.5m up-front payment and contingent payments of up to $3.5m. The transaction is expected to complete within days, is well above book value and is intended to help Ecora reduce debt and shift strategically from coal toward sustainable commodities.
