BRP raises fiscal 2027 guidance after strong off‑road demand despite tariff costs
BRP reported Q2 revenue up 18% to CAD 2.2 billion driven by robust off‑road vehicle demand and market‑share gains, while posting a normalized loss per share of CAD 0.18. The company raised full‑year normalized EPS guidance to CAD 4.00–4.50 and expects more than CAD 800 million in free cash flow, citing stronger ORV deliveries but weaker personal watercraft volumes and higher inflation. BRP lowered its expected fiscal‑year tariff exposure to CAD 200 million but warned a new 50% tariff on certain Spyder imports will create a CAD 60–65 million headwind next year. Management plans to expand utility side‑by‑side capacity by roughly 33% and announced CFO Sébastien Martel will retire, to be succeeded by Minh Thanh Tran on Oct. 1. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Weak outlook and CFO change weigh on BRP stock
BRP reported significantly better-than-expected results in the second fiscal quarter, but the shares fell about 2.5% to $61.75 due to a muted outlook for Q3. CEO Denis Le Vot pointed to a volatile geopolitical and trade-policy environment, and the company announced the resignation of CFO Sébastien Martel; his successor, Minh Thanh Tran, will take over on October 1, 2026. There had already been 14 negative estimate revisions in the past 90 days, further dampening short-term investor sentiment. » More on de.investing.com
