Citigroup raised its rating for Aberdeen from "Neutral" to "Buy" and increased the price target from 225 pence to 265 pence. Aberdeen will take over the investment management of the Herald Investment Trust in the third quarter of 2026 and plans a takeover offer for up to 66% of the issued share capital. Saba Capital Management has agreed to tender its entire stake and has entered into a three-year lock-up agreement with Aberdeen. Eight staff, including manager Katie Potts, are expected to move to Aberdeen; the transaction includes funds with around £1.6bn of assets under management and contains an option for up to eight additional trusts representing about £12.5bn in total.
