AECI schedules annual general meeting for 27 May; four directors to step down

AECI has scheduled its 102nd annual general meeting for 27 May 2026 at 10:00 SAST in Woodmead, Sandton, and has sent the audited consolidated annual financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2025 and proxy forms to shareholders. Four directors — FFT Dludlu (De Buck), PMM O’Brien, ST Coetzer and NT Moholi — will retire from the board at the conclusion of the meeting and will not offer themselves for re-election. Shareholders may participate electronically but must apply by e-mail by 25 May 2026, 10:00 SAST; the record date is 15 May 2026, and the last day to trade to qualify for voting rights is 12 May 2026. Steyn Capital buys 5.26% of AECI and crosses reporting threshold

Steyn Capital Management has acquired an economic interest of 5.26% in AECI’s ordinary shares, thereby exceeding the reporting threshold in South Africa. AECI confirmed receipt of the formal notification and said it will file the required reports with the Takeover Regulation Panel and the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission. AECI announces 5.5% dividend on cumulative preference shares

AECI will pay a gross cash dividend of 5.5% (2.75 pence sterling) on cumulative preference shares for the six-month period to 12 December 2025; payment will be made on 15 December 2025 to shareholders on the register on 12 December 2025. Last day to trade cum dividend is 9 December 2025, and shares trade ex dividend from 10 December 2025. South African payment will be 62.37399 ZAR cents per share (exchange rate 22.68145 ZAR/GBP); after 20% withholding tax the net dividend for non-exempt shareholders is 49.89919 ZAR cents. UK tax deductions may apply to dividends paid in the UK; the payment will be made from retained earnings.
