Ally Financial reaffirms 2026 guidance as margin gains offset Stellantis lease losses
Ally Financial reaffirmed full-year net interest margin guidance of 3.6%–3.7% and 2026 retail auto net charge-off guidance of 1.8%–2%, citing balance-sheet growth in higher-yielding retail auto and Corporate Finance loans. The company expects about $20 million of third-quarter lease losses tied to recalled Stellantis vehicles, which will keep sequential margin growth roughly flat and pressure results through 2026 before easing in 2027 as leases diversify and protected residuals mature. Ally reported customer and loan growth—7% more deposit customers and roughly 25% loan growth in Corporate Finance—while keeping guidance for 3%–5% average earning-asset growth, ~1% operating-expense growth, and continued capital returns. » More on finance.yahoo.com
