LAIQON is launching an ETF jointly with Amundi that uses AI-based active selection and weighting for European large- and mid-cap stocks. The product is intended to serve as the starting point for a family of actively managed ETFs and to provide LAIQON with additional distribution and scale effects. The Amundi MSCI World Swap II UCITS ETF Dist, with ongoing charges of 0.30%, is the most expensive option among the large MSCI World ETFs because it has existed since 2006 and replicates the index synthetically via swaps. Amundi now offers cheaper alternatives (Prime Global 0.05% and Core MSCI World 0.12%) with an almost identical composition. The fund holds €8.8bn, distributes annually and has a higher US weighting (72.4%) with top positions such as NVIDIA, Apple and Microsoft.
