Aura Energy completes A$20m placement and issues 97.56m shares
Aura Energy has completed a A$20 million capital placement and issued 97,560,976 fully paid ordinary shares at A$0.205 per share. In addition, 2 million ordinary shares were issued under a services agreement as a contractual entitlement upon achievement of a milestone. The placement was made under ASX Listing Rule 7.1A and the additional shares under Rule 7.1. The company is conducting confidential discussions with governments, potential contractors, employees and local communities, including efforts to secure an offtake partner, but notes that no binding agreements exist and no completion is certain. Aura Energy uses Swedish mining reform and secures Häggån financing, Tiris studies underway
The Swedish government has lifted the uranium mining ban, making Aura Energy’s Häggån project (uranium plus vanadium, nickel, molybdenum, zinc, potassium sulfate) subject to licensing. Strategic investors led by MMCAP are investing C$10m for 19.7% of Häggån and value the project at C$50m, while Aura retains 78.7% of the transferred SIU Metals. Basic engineering studies for the Tiris uranium project in Mauritania are under way, due to finish in Q2 2026, with a final investment decision in Q3 2026; at the same time Aura plans a capital raise, reports cash of A$4.2m and has received a new 1,000 ha exploration licence in Sweden. » More on de.investing.com
Aura Energy sells Häggån project to SIU Metals; project valued at C$50m
Aura Energy secures a C$10m commitment from MMCAP and other investors for 19.7% of the Häggån project, valuing the project at C$50m. Aura transfers 100% of the project to unlisted SIU Metals and will hold 78.7% of SIU, which aims to list on the TSX Venture Exchange. Financing is via a private placement of warrants at C$1.00 each and is expected to close in February 2026; the overall transaction is planned for June 2026. Funds will be used for permitting, further exploration and resource expansion. The deal is subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals and TSXV acceptance.
