Aurubis sees opportunities from possible sulfuric acid shortage due to Middle East conflict
Aurubis expects hardly any direct short-term impact of the Iran war on its copper business, but sees medium-term opportunities from a shrinking world-market supply of sulfuric acid in the second half of 2025. Sulfuric acid is produced as a by-product of copper production and could give Aurubis short-term tailwinds. » More on finanzen.net
Aurubis falls after record high — copper price and demand weigh on shares
Aurubis shares slipped sharply after a weeks-long rally, falling in the MDax by up to four percent from their previous-day high. The decline was driven by falling copper prices amid rising inventories and weakening demand from China. The price slide in industrial metals as well as gold and silver was triggered in part by the nomination of Kevin Warsh as a possible Fed chair successor and the resulting monetary-policy uncertainties. » More on finanzen.net
