Banco Santander admits 329.8 million ordinary shares to trading in London
Banco Santander has admitted 329,846,438 ordinary shares to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, increasing issued share capital to 15,019,165,940 ordinary shares. The newly admitted shares are fully fungible with the existing shares. Banco Santander buys 8.4 million of its own shares in buyback programme
Banco Santander purchased 8,399,608 of its own ordinary shares on the Madrid stock exchange between Thursday and Wednesday as part of the buyback programme announced in February 2026. The purchases were made over five trading days at weighted average prices between €11.8104 and €12.0302 per share; the largest single purchase was 2,399,608 shares at €11.8104. By Wednesday the total value of the repurchases amounted to €3.63 billion, about 72.2% of the maximum investment volume, and corresponds to roughly 17.3% of the shares issued in 2021.
