BellRing Brands posts modest Q2 revenue growth as margins tighten
BellRing Brands reported FQ2 2026 net sales of $598.7 million, up 2% year‑over‑year driven by volume growth, while operating profit totaled $66 million and net earnings were $33.9 million. Profitability was hit by higher freight and input costs and an $11.3 million inventory charge; Premier Protein sales rose 1.7% while Dymatize fell 1.9%. Management now expects FY26 net sales of $2.325–2.365 billion and Adjusted EBITDA of $315–335 million, and plans continued advertising investment alongside actions to improve financial performance. » More on finance.yahoo.com
S&P Global downgrades BellRing Brands to B+ and cuts outlook to negative
S&P Global Ratings lowered BellRing Brands’ rating from BB- to B+ and placed the outlook at negative. The reasons are weak margins for the Premier Protein brand, rising costs, an expected decline in adjusted EBITDA of more than 30% in fiscal 2026, and falling free cash flow. Adjusted leverage is expected to rise to about 3.7x in 2026; cash flow is also pressured by an anticipated settlement payment of $90 million and higher inventory and raw material costs. S&P warns of further downgrades if leverage remains persistently above 4x. » More on de.investing.com
BellRing Brands trims fiscal outlook as Premier Protein faces mix pressure and rising protein costs
BellRing reported Q2 net sales up 2% but earnings were pressured by a shift to promoted volumes, higher freight and protein-driven commodity inflation and an $11m inventory charge. Management narrowed full-year net sales guidance to flat–2% and projects adjusted EBITDA margin around 14%, citing 200bp headwind from freight and protein costs and 160bp from unfavorable mix. Premier Protein remains market leader but faces intensified competition and greater promotional frequency; BellRing plans Q4 launches (Premier Protein Ultimate and Sparkling Soda) and anticipates category-wide pricing increases over the next 12 months. Management expects a 12–24 month category consolidation favoring scaled brands, while near-term margins stay under pressure from tariffs and logistics costs. » More on finance.yahoo.com
