Bendigo Bank raises cash earnings in second half of 2026, shares fall after outlook
Bendigo Bank reports cash earnings of AUD 530m for the full year, with the second half contributing AUD 273.8m (+7.7% versus H1). Net interest margin improved by 7 basis points to around 1.98% and return on equity is above 8%. The share price fell in after-hours trading despite the stronger results after management flagged higher ongoing costs for 2027 (5–6%), integration costs for the planned RACQ acquisition and one-off items of AUD 100–123m; the acquisition is expected to boost net interest income by AUD 33–37m but reduce CET1 by about 31 basis points. The bank will pay a final dividend of AUD 0.33 per share and emphasizes further investment in risk, compliance and digital deposit acquisition. » More on de.investing.com
