Pierre Beaudoin remains chair and Barbara Samardzich is lead independent director; the board includes four committees with designated chairs for audit, human resources, investments/risk, and nomination, governance and social responsibility. • BRP significantly beats Q1 forecasts, stock rises premarket

BRP reports for Q1 2027 an EPS of 1.83 CAD (expectation 0.82 CAD) and revenue of 2.4 billion CAD, roughly 30% year‑over‑year growth. The stock rose 8.98% in premarket trading to 63.24 CAD. Growth was driven by strong sales in the ORV and ATV segments and measures to mitigate tariffs. • U.S. tariff changes hit BRP: shares plunge 20%, annual guidance suspended

BRP suspended guidance for fiscal year 2027 and its shares fell about 20% after the U.S. changed tariffs under Section 232. A new 25% tariff now applies to the total value of imported snowmobiles and many off‑road vehicle models, instead of the previous 50% applied only to the metal content. BRP estimates additional costs of more than USD 500 million for the current year before potential countermeasures take effect. CEO Denis Le Vot called the tariff environment volatile but pointed to a solid balance sheet and expects to manage the challenge. » More on de.investing.com
