Tesla faces up to $139 million fine over robotaxi without steering wheel and pedals

The U.S. regulator NHTSA questions Tesla’s Cybercab robotaxi because U.S. rules require a foot‑operated brake and normally a steering wheel and pedals. Tesla did not apply for an exemption for driverless vehicles before launching in Austin and must respond to NHTSA by the end of September. Tesla on Evercore list of vulnerable blue chips ahead of expected IPOs from Anthropic and OpenAI

Evercore ISI warns that fund managers could carry out tax-driven selling ahead of the expected multibillion-dollar IPOs of Anthropic and OpenAI, putting already weak blue-chip stocks under pressure. In a screening analysis, Evercore named eight vulnerable names, including Tesla, IBM, American Express, McDonald's, Lowe's, Lululemon, DraftKings and Trade Desk. Tesla is down about 21% year-to-date and has seen earnings estimates cut by roughly 10% recently; Trade Desk and DraftKings have been hit particularly hard with much larger earnings revisions. Tesla brings Semi to Europe in 2027 – standard model with around 550 km range

Tesla will begin deliveries of the electric tractor-trailer Semi in Europe in 2027. Initially the standard version with about 550 kilometers of range and fast-charging capability of up to 60% in 30 minutes will be available. The electric truck is designed for a gross combination weight of 40 tonnes; larger battery variants with up to around 800 kilometers of range have been announced for the US.
