Campbell's yields climb above 7% after removal from S&P 500
Campbell's was dropped from the S&P 500 during the June rebalancing, joining Pool Corp in moving to the S&P SmallCap 600. The stock now yields north of 7% after a share-price decline driven by weak volumes, costs from the Sovos Brands deal and an ERP conversion. The company has paid a dividend for 51 years, with a payout ratio around 76% and solid cash-flow coverage, and recent moves include a 49% stake in La Regina to expand Rao's production. Dividend growth has been minimal, making Campbell's a high-yield, low-growth income play rather than a growth compounding stock. » More on finance.yahoo.com
