The Calgary plant employs 120 people and has a capacity of 46 million linear metres. • Canfor Q1 2026: lumber segment drives recovery despite higher tariffs

Canfor reported a sharply reduced adjusted net loss of $68.6 million ($0.59/share) for Q1 2026 and revenue rose to $1,359.1 million, beating expectations. The lumber segment delivered adjusted operating earnings before depreciation of $28.6 million thanks to higher prices and increased production, while pulp/paper continued to record losses. Net tariff charges rose to $28.1 million; preliminary U.S. tariff rates could lead to combined charges of around CAD 37 million. Canfor holds roughly CAD 970 million in liquidity, is continuing restructuring and efficiency measures and is strategically reviewing the pulp business; risks remain from weak pulp demand, higher tariff rates and market volatility. » More on de.investing.com
