Casio beats Q4 revenue forecasts, stock falls nonetheless
For Q4 of fiscal 2026 Casio reported revenue of ¥68.26 billion, above analysts’ estimate of ¥67.95 billion. Operating income rose 63.4% year-on-year to ¥4.9 billion, ordinary income increased 85.8% to ¥5.4 billion, while profit attributable to owners fell by 26%. The stock dropped 1.02% in after-hours trading to ¥1,694 and continued to decline in subsequent sessions. Management highlighted strong G-SHOCK performance (42% of watch sales) and planned expansion in India and the ASEAN region, but said the sound business remains challenging and reaffirmed a net sales target of ¥295 billion for FY2027. » More on de.investing.com
Casio launches limited-edition S100X calculator with hand-applied Japanese lacquer
Casio unveiled the S100X, a luxury calculator finished with traditional Japanese lacquer by Yamakyu Shitsuki; a master artisan, Ryuji Umeda, spent about a month on each piece. The S100X is limited to 650 units worldwide and priced at ¥99,000 (around $624). Casio: watch division drives operating profit up 976% in Q3
For the third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026, Casio reported net sales of ¥75.4 billion (+28.1%) and an operating profit of ¥8.7 billion (+976.2%), lifting the operating margin to 11.5%. The driver was the watch segment, with ¥53.3 billion in sales (+34.5%) and a segment operating profit of ¥10.3 billion (+170.7%), yielding an operating margin of 19.4%; strong demand came particularly from G-SHOCK and CASIO WATCH models. Regionally, business grew strongly in North America, Japan, Europe and other markets, while China remained weaker.
