Domino’s Pizza reports annual loss after one-off write-downs
Domino’s Pizza slipped to a net loss of A$134.2 million for the year to 28 June due to A$316.1 million of special items, including impairments in France and Taiwan and accelerated technology write-offs. Revenue fell 11.2% to A$2.05 billion, while adjusted net profit excluding special items rose 4.0% to A$121.6 million. Franchisee profitability improved 11.3% to A$105,700 per store but remains below the A$130,000 target. The company cut costs by A$67 million, reduced net debt, and announced a final dividend along with plans for a revised pricing and store operating model and the permanent closure of up to 60 stores. » More on de.investing.com
Domino's Pizza valuation falls to 20.1x as investors fear GLP-1 impact and slowing comps
Domino's Pizza is trading at about 20.1 times earnings, its lowest valuation in nearly a decade, as investors weigh two main concerns: plateauing U.S. same-store sales despite global store growth, and potential demand loss from wider adoption of GLP-1 weight‑loss drugs. Management says it has not seen a measurable GLP‑1 impact yet, but analysts model significant long‑term shifts in eating habits that could cap mid‑single‑digit comp growth. The market appears to be pricing a structural slowdown, while supporters argue Domino's can respond with pricing, menu and international expansion to offset the risk. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Domino’s Pizza stock falls after Loop Capital downgrade
Domino’s Pizza shares slipped about 1.5% intraday after Loop Capital cut its rating from buy to hold. Analyst consensus is tilting toward hold, while Q2 earnings per share of $4.07 and only 0.1% same-store U.S. sales growth reflect weak demand and operational weaknesses. Several banks have already lowered price targets; additionally, competitive pressure and an impending leadership change weigh on near-term growth prospects. » More on de.investing.com
