Electrica’s shareholders approved at an extraordinary general meeting an investment project in Craiova with a volume of up to €235 million plus VAT. The plan includes power and heat generation facilities to supply Craiova’s district heating system and provide process heat for Ford Otosan Romania, as well as associated infrastructure such as a substation and internal power grid. Electrica, by Amendment No. 2, extended the loan agreement with its subsidiary Societatea Electrica Furnizare (EFSA). The transactions in the period from 14 to 23 July 2026 exceeded 5% of Electrica's net assets and amounted to over 202,130,780 RON. Electrica has not yet allocated the net proceeds from its €500m green bond issuance (coupon 4.375%, maturity 14 July 2030); €494.7m is temporarily invested in accordance with treasury guidelines until allocation. The company has 36 months from issuance to use the funds and has identified a project pipeline in renewable energy, including two photovoltaic parks with a total of 140 MWp (PV Bihor 1: 77.5 MWp + 17 MWh storage, EPC May, investment ~€36.6m; PV Satu Mare 3: 62.5 MWp, EPC June, ~€27.9m). Electrica is also developing the onshore wind project Crucea Est (138 MW + 60 MWh storage, estimated investment ~€253m) and several battery storage projects as well as 19 further storage units with grid connections (around 780 MWh).
