Onygo closes all stores in Germany after failed investor search

Shoe retailer Onygo has closed all remaining stores in Germany after an insolvency filed in June and an unsuccessful search for a new investor; 150 employees are affected. The company joins a string of high-profile retail insolvencies, most recently including Esprit, The Body Shop, Tupperware and other retailers, driven by inflation, high energy costs and the shift to online shopping.
