EU approves €211 million aid for Frontier IP portfolio company
The European Commission has approved €211 million in state aid from Italy for CamGraPhIC, a portfolio company of Frontier IP. The funds are intended to support the development of photonic optical transceivers based on graphene. Frontier IP raises £870,000 through share placing to extend funding runway
Frontier IP plans a placing of 4.49m new ordinary shares at 15.5p each to raise £695,000; directors are subscribing for a further 1.13m shares for £175,000. Net proceeds of about £750,000 are intended to provide working capital to achieve portfolio milestones, open the South Cambridge Science Centre and give selective support to portfolio companies.
