Hafnia reports strong Q2 profit thanks to high tanker rates
Hafnia recorded a net profit of $277.8m in the second quarter of 2026 (vs. $75.3m a year earlier) and earnings per share of $0.56, slightly above estimates. Revenue/TCE income amounted to $372.9m and missed expectations. The company strengthened its balance sheet with a loan-to-value of 13%, paid its 18th consecutive quarterly dividend and is supporting profitability through persistently high spot rates, gains from ship disposals and locked-in rates for the coming quarter. Management said geopolitical disruptions and longer voyage distances are likely to continue to support tanker markets, but risks remain from volatile freight rates and potential declines in one-off gains. » More on de.investing.com
